Trondheim Queer Book Club, in collaboration with Queer NTNU, will host author Alvina
Chamberland for a conversation at Trondheim Public Library.
Alvina Chamberland is a Swedish-American writer, poet, and translator whose debut novel,
Love the World or Get Killed Trying, received international acclaim for its exploration of queer
identity, belonging, love and friendship. It was a finalist for the 2025 Lambda Literary Award for
Transgender Fiction.
Trondheim Queer Book Club are thrilled to be hosting her for a moderated conversation about
queer storytelling in the Nordics, representation in contemporary literature, and the role of queer
voices in the current cultural landscape. The conversation will be followed by a reading by
Chamberland, and an audience Q&A.
The event will be held in English, and is free of charge and open to all.

Trondheim Queer Book Club, i samarbeid med Skeiv NTNU, inviterer til en samtale med
forfatter Alvina Chamberland på Trondheim folkebibliotek.
Alvina Chamberland er en svensk-amerikansk forfatter, poet og oversetter. Debutromanen
hennes, Love the World or Get Killed Trying, har høstet internasjonal anerkjennelse for sin
utforskning av skeiv identitet, tilhørighet, kjærlighet og vennskap. Den var en av finalistene til
Lambda Literary Awards pris for beste Transgender Fiction i 2025.
Trondheim Queer Book Club har gleden av å være vertskap for en moderert samtale med
Chamberland om skeiv historiefortelling i Norden, representasjon i samtidslitteraturen, og
hvilken plass skeive stemmer har i dagens kulturelle landskap. Etter samtalen vil hun lese et
utdrag fra boken sin, og det vil bli åpnet for spørsmål fra publikum.
Arrangementet avholdes på engelsk, og er gratis og åpent for alle.
