Welcome to the ImproJam on Sunday 6 November 2022 kl 17-19 at DansiT.

We start the session with a collective warm-up. A gentle movement meditation to tune into our bodies is followed by playful movement tasks to connect to the space, our bodies and each other. In the second hour we dive into the jam - an open space where you can improvise freely and explore movements and sounds both alone or together with others.

Musicians are very welcome to bring their own instruments and jam with us.

The ImproJam is held in English by dance artist Anna Thu Schmidt. Dance experience is not required. Doors open 15 minutes before the event and will be closed by the start of the event. 

It is a FREE event supported by DansiT, Trondheim Kommune and Kulturrådet.

ImproDans Trondheim wants to offer an open, free, and safe space for movement and sound exploration and a playful approach to improvisation.

Anna Thu Schmidt is a dance artist with a focus on dance improvisation, interdisciplinary projects, site-specific work, and integrated dance. Anna holds B.A. in Dance in Education (ArtEZ University of the Arts Arnhem/Netherlands) and M.A. in Dance Studies (NTNU Trondheim/ Norway).
