Welcome to the ImproJam on Friday 14 June 2024 kl 19-21 at DansiT, Strandveien 33, Trondheim - the last event before the summer break!

We start the session with a collective warm-up. A gentle movement meditation to tune into our bodies is followed by playful movement tasks to connect to the space, our bodies and each other. The first hour offers an introduction to contact improvisation before we dive into the jam - an open space where you can improvise freely and explore movements and sounds both alone or together with others.

Musicians are very welcome to bring their own instruments and jam with us. The ImproJam is held in English by dance artist Anna Thu Schmidt. Doors open 15 minutes before the event and will be closed by the start of the event.

ImproDans Trondheim wants to offer an open and safe space for movement and sound exploration and a playful approach to improvisation.

Bio: Anna Thu Schmidt is a dance artist with a focus on dance improvisation, interdisciplinary projects, site-specific work, and integrated dance. Anna holds B.A. in Dance in Education (ArtEZ University of the Arts Arnhem/Netherlands) and M.A. in Dance Studies (NTNU Trondheim/ Norway).
